NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Emmilynne LaPorte, of Dowagiac, has been selected to participate in the Junior All-American Games at Miss Sarasota Softball Complex in Sarasota, Florida Nov. 23-25.

The event will feature top softball athletes of various ages from 32 different states.

LaPorte plays for Michigan Momentum 10U, coached by Travis Reed. LaPorte is also representing Legends Lynx 10U, coached by Tony Jernigan, pitching coach Trish Gardini of Dugout Dolls and hitting coach Holly Reagan.

The Junior All-American Games weekend will include an opening ceremony, game competition, instruction, a skills showcase, player evaluations, a home run derby and the opportunity for athletes to be coached by college coaches.
