Dowagiac soccer gets back on track

DOWAGIAC — Visiting Dowagiac got back on the winning track Monday night.
The Chieftains scored a pair of first-half goals en route to a 3-0 victory over host Coloma in non-conference action.
“We moved the ball well and communicated much better as a whole,” said Dowagiac coach Mike Williams. “We need to increase our intensity and game speed. [I’m] looking forward to seeing continuous improvement for Thursday’s game at home against Parchment.”
Cristian Wilson and Isaac Saavedra scored in the sixth and 39th minutes to stake the Chieftains to a 2-0 halftime advantage.
In the second half, Edgar Bravo scored in the 69th minute off an assist by Wilson.
Dowagiac will host Parchment in a non-conference match set to begin at 5 p.m.
