Friday, the Dowagiac District Library treated area children to an ice cream social for completing at least one level of its Libraries Rock summer reading program. The program is designed to incentivize children to read by allowing them to earn prizes and other rewards for reading, checking out certain items and/or attending library events. (Submitted photos)
