Cassopolis renames volleyball tournament after Tracy Baker

CASSOPOLIS — The Cassopolis Invitational volleyball tournament has a new name.
The tournament has been renamed in hour of Tracy Baker, who died earlier this year following a battle with cancer.
The Tracy Baker Memorial Tournament will begin with pool play at 9 a.m.
The White Pool will consist of the host Rangers, Marcellus and New Buffalo.
The Blue Pool will consist of Dowagiac, Michigan Lutheran, River Valley and Eau Claire.
Cassopolis will open up pool play against Marcellus at 9 a.m. and will then face New Buffalo in the third match.
Dowagiac will face Eau Claire in its opening match, which will follow the Michigan Lutheran-River Valley match at 9 a.m. The Chieftains, who have a new coach in Tony Hooley, will then face Michigan Lutheran and finish with River Valley in pool play.
The single elimination portion of the tournament will begin with the No. 1 team in each pool receiving a bye.
The second-place team in the White Pool will take on the third-place team in the Blue Pool in the quarterfinals, while the No. 2 team in the Blue Pool will face the No. 3 team in the White Pool on the other coach.
Those matches will be followed by the semifinals and championship match.
In the White Pool, matches will be a best-of-three, while in the Blue Pool, matches will consist of two sets.
There is a cap of 25 points in pool play.
In the single elimination round, all matches will be a best-of-three with no cap on scoring.
Concessions will be available throughout the day. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. A family ticket is available for $15.
