NILES — Thursday night, the scents of barbecue drifted down Second Street as dozens flocked to Custom Computer Company to celebrate the business’ re-opening.
The computer and technology repair company at 603 N. Second St. recently re-opened after repairing damages from February’s historic flooding. On Thursday, business owner Michael Reed commemorated the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Reed opened Custom Computer Company in 2017 with the aim to do more than provide a storefront for customers. The space also serves as a free computer lab, where people of all ages can hang out and use technology. Reed re-vamped the space, which now features a computer lab, virtual reality room and bartop area for laptops. Custom Computer Company is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. To learn more, visit customcomputercompanyllc.com.
