NILES — With high school graduation on the horizon for area schools, the top students of their graduating class were announced earlier. To showcase these students and their hard work and talent, they completed a questionnaire and offered some advice to incoming freshman. The following students featured are from Brandywine High School.

1. How does it feel to be listed as one of Niles Top 10?
I’m proud of myself for being in the top 10. I know that it is a great accomplishment and I know I earned it.
2. How do you feel you earned the title?
I earned this title through hard work. There were times I struggled and thought I was going to lose my spot in the top 10, but I always worked through it
3. What college, trade school or future endeavor do you plan on pursuing after you graduate? If you will attend a college or trade school what do you plan on studying and why?
I’m going to be attending Michigan State in the fall. I’m still deciding on what I want to study.
4. What’s your advice to next year’s freshman?
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. High school is hard, but there are people to help you. Your teachers want you to succeed. If you’re having trouble with one of your classes, ask for help.
5. What was your favorite part of your high school career?
My favorite part of high school was getting to know a lot of great people. I got to meet a lot of interesting people from all different backgrounds with all different interests.
6. Outside of school what are some other accomplishments you are proud of achieving?
I’m proud of getting accepted into Michigan State. It’s been my dream since I was little to get into a good college, and through all of my hard work that dream is becoming a reality.
