POKAGON TOWNSHIP — Two were injured Sunday in a crash in Pokagon Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Richard Behnke reported that at 3 p.m. Sunday, his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash that occurred on M-51 near Pokagon Street in Pokagon Township.
Initial investigation shows that 39-year-old Dowagiac resident, Kevin Frazier, was south-bound on M-51 when he collided with another south-bound vehicle driven by 57-year-old Dowagiac resident, Laura Zielke.
Zielke’s vehicle was then pushed into oncoming traffic colliding with a northbound vehicle, driven by 58-year-old Dowagiac resident, James Mosier. Zielke and passenger, 51-year-old Dowagiac resident Shelly Mosier, were transported by ambulance to St. Joe Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
Seatbelts are believed to have been worn, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor. This case remains under investigation.
