A man was arrested in Dowagiac for possession of methamphetamine and a stolen vehicle.

The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team received a tip Wednesday about a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of Oak Street in Dowagiac.

Detectives located a vehicle matching the description and observed a white male getting into the driver’s seat.  Detectives approached and made contact with the subject who was found to have an unrelated warrant.  Upon searching his person, detectives located methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia.  The vehicle was also found to be stolen out of Elkhart.

The 26-year-old male was arrested on possession of methamphetamine and possession of a stolen vehicle. His name is being held pending arraignment.

Detectives were assisted on scene by the Dowagiac Police Department.
