May 21, 1956 – March 10, 2018

David “Dave” Lee Martin, of Coloma, departed this life at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center on Saturday, March 10, 2018, in Mishawaka, Indiana, at the age of 61.

Dave was born on May 21, 1956 in Niles, to David L. Martin. He graduated from Union Senior High School in Dowagiac and pursued a career in trades where he was able to express his love for mechanics and woodworking. Dave had many passions including cars, painting, and playing cards. He is also remembered by his family and friends for his practical jokes and ability to make them smile.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn (Beckmann) Martin, son Jeremy (Laura) Martin, stepsons Alex Froehlich and Theodore (Alexis) Froehlich, step-daughter Gayle (Greg) Langolf, sister Kristie (Carl) Wiles, half-sister Lora Martin, half-brother Vernon Martin, grandsons Gabe Martin and Matthew Martin, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father David L. Martin.

A service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 9 South Fourth Street in Niles. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Hoven Funeral Home, 414 East Front Street, Buchanan. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dave’s life.
