St. John’s United Church of Christ to host fish fry
NILES — The St. John’s United Church of Christ will host a fish fry dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at 601 Sycamore St. in Niles. There will be fish, French fries, homemade coleslaw, rolls and desserts. Coffee, milk and punch will also be served. Cost: $9 for adults; $4 for children 5 to 12 and children under 5 are free. St. Mary’s Spring Bazaar and Food Drive scheduled
NILES — St. Mary’s Church will host a Spring Bazaar and Food Drive, sponsored by the Christian Service Center of Niles. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at St. Mary’s School Gym, 217 Lincoln Ave.
There will be crafts featuring purses, doll clothes, a variety of knit and crochet items, jewelry, ceramics, glassware, pottery, birdhouses, hand-painted Ukrainian eggs, and much more. Homemade baked goods can be purchased at the Christian Service Center bake booth.
Breakfast waffles, hot dogs, barbecue, snacks and beverages prepared by St. Mary’s Boy Scout Troop #579 will be available eat in or carry out. Donations of non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry will be accepted.

Community Church of Christ Church to host spring fling dinner and bake sale
GALIEN — The Community Church of Christ Church to host a spring fling dinner and bake sale from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at 110 S. Cleveland Ave. in downtown Galien. There will be a Swiss steak dinner with a salad bar. Cost: $9 for adults and children 12 and older and $5 for children 5 to 11 years old. Desserts cost $1 per slice.
