Cassopolis man injured in single-vehicle crash

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP — A Cassopolis man was injured in a single-vehicle injury accident Saturday afternoon, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

At 12:51 p.m. Saturday, David Szcypski, 62, of Cassopolis, was traveling down Robinson Road, south of Cemetery Street in Jefferson Township, when his vehicle left the roadway and collided into the tree line.

The sheriff’s department reports that seatbelt use was unknown, and alcohol use may have been a factor.

The case remains under investigation.
