Roundup: Rangers lose opener, Eddies rout Allegan

DECATUR — Visiting Cassopolis was shut out in the second quarter of its 51-38 Southwest 10 Conference debut against Decatur Friday night.

The Raiders, who led 10-4 after one quarter outscored the Rangers (0-1) 12-0 in the second quarter to open up a 22-4 lead heading into the second half.

The Rangers exploded for 30 second-half points, but were unable to overcome the early deficit.

Santaja Gibson led Cassopolis and all scorers with 29 points.

Allegan at Edwardsburg

EDWARDSBURG — The Eddies rebounded from their first loss of the season to rout Allegan 55-15 in a non-divisional Wolverine Conference contest Friday night.

Kaitlyn Zarycki led Edwardsburg with a game-high 29 points.

The Eddies also got 10 points from Abbey Krugh and nine points Claire Bartz from Claire Bartz.
