Several members of the Four Flags Garden Club recently attended a joint meeting of the Michigan District III garden clubs in Sturgis.
Approximately 36 clubs from southwestern Michigan were represented at the meeting, which included multiple speakers. During these twice per year gatherings, garden club members learn and share gardening experiences.
Michigan is considered a garden-friendly state with more than 7,000 members encompassing seven districts, according to the Four Flags Garden Club.
The community service projects for the Four Flags Garden Club include maintaining the historic Niles Amtrak Depot gardens and the Yellow Ribbon Garden at the Niles Veterans Memorial in Riverfront Park. Anyone interested in learning more about the club or attending a meeting should call Ronnie at (269) 684-3427.
