EAU CLAIRE — The inaugural Patriot Games wrapped up Friday night with a full slate of football games in the Southwest 10 Conference.

Throughout the week, the teams of the newly-formed league wore special uniforms as they competed against each other.

The uniforms carried the names of family, friends and community members who served or our serving in the military.

At Eau Claire, with the field  colored red, white and blue, the visiting Rangers rolled to a 58-0 victory over the winless Beavers.

The lead reached 45-0 by halftime as Hunt-Thompson returned and interception 57 yards and Xander Smith tossed touchdown passes of 30 and 53 yards.

With a running clock throughout the second half, Cassopolis would score twice more to cap the scoring.

Both touchdowns came in the third quarter as Aiden Dahlgren scored on an 8-yard run, and J.J. Hart scored on a 1-yard run.

The Rangers will play only their second home game of the season Friday night, as they host Marcellus.

The Beavers, who are coached by former Ranger Bernard Thomas (defense) and former Dowagiac Chieftains Brent (offense) and Rick Lesniak, will attempt to pick up their first victory of the season, as they head to Bangor.
