Tomlinson wins Big Hill Invitational title as Niles teams finished second

THREE RIVERS — Senior Devin Tomlinson of Niles made it two-for-two in invitational victories as he captured the Three Rivers Big Hill boys championship Tuesday.

Tomlinson posted a time of 17:51 to easily defeat runner-up Garrett Bailey of Marshall who posted a time of 18:33.

Marshall took home the team championship as it had five runners in the top 10 to finish with 32 points.

The Vikings, who had three runners in the top five, finished second with 56 points. Mendon was a distant third with 99 points.

The Niles girls team also finished second behind Marshall.

Kaylee Thompson led the Vikings with a second place finish and a time of 22:27.
