Visiting Dowagiac was no match for Wolverine Conference tennis powerhouse Sturgis Monday.

The Trojans swept Dowagiac 8-0, losing just eight games in the process.

Sturgis blanked the Chieftains in three of the eight flights and lost just one game in four other flights.

The best match of the day was a No. 3 doubles where Sturgis’ Anna Schuller and Janeht Carrasco defeated Dowagiac’s Jamie O’Brien and Jessany Stockwell 6-2 and 6-2.
