Anne Springsteen, 82, of Dowagiac, passed away, Friday, April 14, 2017, at The Timbers of Cass County.

A celebration of life service will be hosted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Clark Chapel, with Don Eaddy officiating. Burial will follow in South Wayne Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Anne Springsteen

Anne was born July 24, 1934, in Frackville, Pennsylvania, to Stanley and Rose (Grabowski) Ragazinsky.

On Oct. 15, 1955, she married Max G. Springsteen in Dowagiac.

Anne was employed for several years at Rudy Manufacturing in Dowagiac before settling in to care for her family. She didn’t have children of her own, but her front porch was a gathering place for all as she decorated for the holidays and had cookies and candy available on special occasions. Anne enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and tending to her flower gardens. She was fond of all animals, especially cats.

Anne is survived by her husband Max; nephews and niece Mark (Patti) Cobb of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Clark (Kathy) Cobb of Dowagiac and Vicky Cobb-James of Dowagiac; great-nieces and great-nephews Tim (Dawn) Stelmasiak, Curt Stelmasiak, Mike Soja, Leah Cobb, Ashley (Mike) Briney, Aaron Cobb and Brittnay Cobb; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephew Maxwell Stelmasiak, Lillian Cobb and Natalie Green.

She was preceded in death by five siblings, Al and Frank Amalavage, Ed Kelman, Fran Gall and  Josephine Cobb.
