Sept. 30, 1955 — March 18, 2017

Jeffrey D. Knoll, 62, our loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, in Lansing.
Born Sept. 30, 1955, in Niles, to Jack and Jane Knoll, Jeff graduated from Niles High School and the MSU College of Business and retired from the State of Michigan after 27 years of service.
Surviving are his loving wife, Marshalea Mathews; his two puppies, Jackson and Lillie; daughter and son-in-law Jamie Mathews (Brian Graham), granddaughter Michaella Graham and great-granddaughter Tenley Graham, all of Grand Ledge; brother-in-law David (Sharon) Mathews of DeWitt; sister Jackie (John) Low of Arizona; niece Vanessa

Jeffrey Knoll

(Don) Low McKay of California; nephew David (Danielle) Low of California; and numerous extended family and friends.
Jeff was preceded by his parents and a sister, Bernadette George.
Jeff was an avid Spartan fan and had a passion for sports, which was displayed during his high school career when he was a four-year letterman in three sports. His love for playing sports was cut short in 1979 after suffering a paralyzing spinal cord injury. Most would have given up, but Jeff made the most of his life and was the most courageous and the strongest man you would ever meet. His family and friends will miss him terribly, but find comfort in knowing Jeff is pain free and is walking and playing sports again.
The family would like to give a special thanks to his dedicated and caring caregiver, Dawn Hill. Without Dawn, Jeff and our family would have been lost throughout the years.
There will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MSU sports or Sparrow Hospice.
Arrangements are by Tiffany Funeral Home in Lansing. Friends may visit the guest book at tiffanyfuneralhome.com.
