Rangers fall to Bronson in BCS Blue Division contest

The Cassopolis girls basketball team ran into a buzz saw last Thursday night.

The Rangers dropped a 48-28 BCS Blue Division decision to visiting Bronson, which improved to 8-2 overall and 5-1 in division games.

Cassopolis (6-6, 3-3 BCS Blue) was right there with the Vikings through the first two quarters, trailing just 20-13 at halftime, despite scoring just two points in the opening eight minutes.

Bronson poured in 23 third quarter points while holding the Rangers to just one point to break the contest open.

The Vikings took a 43-14 lead into the fourth quarter and cruised home with the victory.

Kiersten Hartsell led the Rangers with 10 points, while Santaja Gibson and Angel Gary contributed six points each.

Payton Robinson led the Vikings with a game-high 13 points.
