In the southern finals, Miss Michele & Co Competition Team competed against dozens of dance studios from around the country for prestigious top honors at Showstoppers, the largest dance competition in the country.

Their entries placed as follows:

• “Ex’s and Oh’s” received sixth place overall in advanced duo/trios

• “Read All About It” received second place overall in the senior advanced duo/trios

• “MMC Hip Hop Mash Up” received 10th place overall in teen advanced large group.

• “Peter Pan” received second place overall in teen advanced large group.

• “MMC Jr. Superheroes” received ninth place overall in mini advanced small group.

• “Without You” received seventh place overall in junior advanced small group.

• Bree Behnke received fifth place overall in mini advanced solo and Emma Stanger received third place overall in mini advanced solo.

• Miss Michele & Co. Competition Team received 10 platinum awards and 7 gold awards.

The team consists of Bree Behnke, Gracie Clark, Emalee Foote, Taylore Froehlich, Kyleah Hill, Sophie Kirtdoll, Tamyra Kirtdoll, Julia Kurland, Di’maan McGill, Nina Richardson, Emma Stanger, Juliana Stanger, Olivia Stanger and Jacki Winchester-Jones. Team members are from Dowagiac, Eau Claire and Edwardsburg. Choreographers for the 2015-16 team are Michele Winchester-Greer, Madelynne Winchester, Eileen Springsteen, Di’maan McGill and Jacki Green.

Familes are invited to the Miss Michele & Co open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 27, at the company’s dance studio at 212 S. Front St., where children can get a chance to register for fall classes. Information is also available online at www.missmicheleandco.com.
