William Crandell

William Crandell was born June 15, 1968, and was adopted into the loving family of Daryl And Jacqueline Crandell.

He spent the last several years at Blossomland Learning Center working with children with special needs. It was at times an emotionally and physically challenging role but he felt it was his calling. Bill also wrote a political column for the Niles Daily Star and spent time volunteering with the local Democratic Party.

Bill died unexpectedly June 11, 2016, at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is survived by his ex-wife Janine Crandell, his step children Cassidy and Jacob Brown of Baroda, brother David Crandell of Boca Raton, Florida, sister Joelle Crandell of New Castle, Delaware, nephews Michael Hillock of Saugatuck, Kody Crandell of New Castle, Delaware and Austin Crandell of Boca Raton, Florida and a large extended family. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Daryl and Jacqueline Crandell, grandparents, several aunts and uncles and cousin Kelly White.

A memorial service will be held at American Legion Post 568 at 3093 Johnson Road, Stevensville, MI 49127 from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, for family and friends that wish to pay their respects.
