Brant was born on May 7, 1954, in South Bend, Indiana and passed away on March 13, 2016 in Arlington, Texas.
Brant grew up in Sister Lakes, attended high school in Dowagiac, and also attended Hillsdale College and St. Edward’s University. He worked for many years as a glazier in Austin, Detroit, Washington D.C. and Arizona.
Brant was a smart, funny, scrappy and opinionated guy. He never backed down from a fight. His favorite things were beer, good music, good friends and sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Betty Butler and brothers Tom Butler and Bill Connor. He is survived by his brother Phillip Butler of Arlington, Texas, sister Cathy Butler of Kalamazoo, nieces and nephews and his friends. “No distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the friendship of those who
are thoroughly persuaded of each other’s worth.”
Brant, we were definitely persuaded of your worth and will miss you. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 9, at 11 a.m. at the Keeler Cemetery.
Friends will gather afterwards at Lakeview Inn in Sister Lakes.
