What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?

CG: Going to team state for wrestling

What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?

CG: Not performing well at individual conference for wrestling.

What has been a hardship in your life?

CG: Having lost my grandparents at an early age.

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

CG: My hero would be my parents. Both my mom and dad push me to work hard and be the best I can be.

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

CG: Right before a match/game.

Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.

CG: Having a slump in a baseball game.

How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?

CG: Going to the YMCA or the high school to lift or run and get in shape.

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

CG: Football and baseball.

Who would you say is your “biggest fan?” Why?

CG: My biggest fan would be my mom, because she goes to every single one of my events.

How would you give away $50,000?

CG: Donate it to charity.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

CG: I would pick Michigan State football.

If I did not play sports, I would…?

CG: Be working and saving up for college.

What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

CG: Not eating everything before weigh-ins.

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

CG: The stalling call.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

CG: After our match every parent I knew said I wrestled really good.

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

CG: Swimming 20-feet deep to find my buddy’s hunting gun in murky water. Glad I tried because I later found it.

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

CG: Seeing my best friend Andrew Flick shoot a nice eight-point.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

CG: Hunting and fishing, because I love the outdoors and learning new skills.
