Lyons Industries Inc, a bathtub and shower manufacturer in Dowagiac, recenlty announced that Mike Podell and Patty Baker have joined the company as the new plant manager and human resources manager.

Podell joins the company with 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. He has extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and has managed multiple plants within the same company with over 300 people.

Baker comes from the specialty vehicle industry with more than 20 years of experience in human resources. She specializes in hiring and safety compliance and was the HR manger for an organization with 1,000 people across several plants and shifts.

“Mike and Patty are an excellent addition to our team,” said Lance Lyons, President of Lyons Industries. “We’re currently making over 1,500 products a day and forecasting 20 percent growth for 2016. Mike’s and Patty’s experiences and skillsets will be critical to managing this growth successfully next year and the years that follow.”
