What has been one of your greatest

accomplishments as an athlete?

JH: I got the JV basketball MVP.

What has been one of your biggest

disappointments as an athlete?

JH: Not beating Benton Harbor this year in

districts.

What has been a hardship in your life?

JH: Getting better in sports, making my mom happy and school.

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

JH: My mom, because she is a huge motivator and helps me with everything.

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

JH: Crunch time (fourth quarter).

Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.

JH: I fell down during a basketball game really hard once.

How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?

JH: Pushups and situps.

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

JH: Baseball.

Who would you say is your “biggest fan?” Why?

JH: My mother, because all she does is cheer for me.

How would you give away $50,000?

JH: Donate half to sports for school and the other half to my mom.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

JH: The football team here at the high school.

If I did not play sports, I would…?

JH: Be a head coach or just focus on school.

What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

JH: Get to my full potential day in and day out.

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

JH: The football holding rule.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

JH: That you are a great athlete on the court and the field.

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

JH: Go against the Howard brothers my sophomore year. Yes, cause it helped me get better.

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

JH: Keoante (Blackamore) dunk in basketball.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

JH: Chilling with my friends because we laugh a lot.
