The Niles History Center will host two simultaneous holiday open houses from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at 508 E. Main St., in Niles.
Both are free.
A Rudolph themed Christmas celebration will take place at the Fort St. Joseph Museum, complete with Christmas activity booklets, gift bags, crafts and pictures with Rudolph.
At the same time the Chapin Mansion, which is located next door to the museum, will be decorated in a “Woodland Christmas” theme. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy the holiday decorations and learn about the history of one of Niles’ most treasured landmarks.
Proceeds from gift sales will go toward restoring the mansion. Items for sale are made by members of the Niles Art Association.
