Masked man robs Berrien Springs gas station

A masked man robbed a Berrien Springs gas station at gunpoint early Thursday morning, according to the Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township Police Department.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m. at the Speedway Gas Station at 105 N. Cass St.
In a press release, police said the suspect was armed with a black handgun and ordered the attendant to open the cash register and hand him money. After taking an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot from the gas station and was inside for less than one minute.
Officers searched the surrounding area but were not able to locate the suspect. There were no injuries and the attendant was not harmed.
Police describe the suspect as a white male standing between 5 feet, 8 inches and 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark blue Carhartt zip up hooded sweatshirt and light blue denim jeans. He was also wearing old, dirty white sneakers and a black ski mask.
