No one celebrates the Michigan apple harvest quite like Niles.

On Thursday, children of all ages got their first taste of the carnival rides at the Four Flags city’s annual apple festival.

The family-friendly fun continues today through Sunday at the fairgrounds, which are located at the corner of Lake and North 17th Streets in Niles.
