Alma Sue Tarner, 71, of Niles, passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
She was born to the Late Herbert and Mary (Myers) Low on June 24, 1944, in Niles, Michigan. Alma is preceded in death by her sister Arletta Ringer.
She is survived by her three daughters; Mary (Tracy) Krause, Jennifer (Marc) Gillette and Amy Davis; brothers, Larry (Sharon) Low and Ron Low; sisters, Alta (Ray) Hood and Ann (Loy) Fishburn; grandchildren, Mandy and James Krause, Michael and Michelle Frazier, Trevor, Amber and Laura Davis.
Alma enjoyed square dancing and music; she loved sharing her passion for singing with her family. After her diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, Alma joined groups to support others and was continually researching new studies to share it with people.

In keeping with Alma’s wishes, her body has been donated for medical research. A celebration of Alma’s life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at 11 a.m. at 1901 S. 17th Street, Niles, Michigan 49120 with a luncheon for family and friends to follow.
