The Four Flags Area Apple Festival will crown a new senior king and queen this weekend at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA.

The contest will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 in the lobby of the building, which is located at 905 N. Front St., Niles.

Participants must be 55 years or older and do not have to be a couple to enter.

Winners will be chosen by random drawing.

People can register online at fourflagsapplefestival.org, the YMCA and at Niles and Buchanan senior centers.

The winners will get treated like “royalty” during the Apple Festival and ride on floats and in parades throughout the year. It also comes with a prize package.
