This is an open letter to those serving southwest Michigan in Congress.

It is our opinion that the nuclear agreement with Iran relative to nuclear weapons is “as good as it gets.”

Our negotiating team was led by John Kerry, an elder statesman, military hero, elected official and in all ways a person of proven competence. The team mirrored his gifts.

Twenty-two months of negotiations with historically proficient Mideast negotiators resulted in a remarkable deal — 15 years of nonproliferation with monitoring is “as good as it gets.”

And, significantly more important, it seems to us, is that there is no expenditure of life involved.

Please, please recognize this is as good as it gets and support Congressional acceptance.
