Barn Swallow Theatre will present an adaptation of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr.”
Performances of the classic portrayal will begin at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13, and 14. Two matinees are also scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, and Sunday, Aug. 16.
Thirty young performers in grades kindergarten through eighth from the Michiana area, and including Berrien County, are portraying the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress.
If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out.
If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Will it happen?
The cast and crew of Beauty and the Beast encourages everyone to come see the show to find out.
The theatre is located at 22334 U.S. 12 East of Edwardsburg, Michigan. Reservations are recommended and may be made by calling (269) 445-2511.
