NILES - Opening ceremonies for the Niles Apple Festival 2005 are at 6:30 p.m., tonight at the Niles High School just prior to the Miss Apple Festival and Miss Junior Apple Festival pagent.
There is also a Senior King and Queen presented at that time.
Jr. Miss Apple Festival Contestants include:
Ciara Brown, of Tiara Trail, 14, is in the 10th grade at Edwardsburg High School. She is the daughter of Doug and Becky Gushwa.
Amber Horvath, of South Fourth Street, 15, is in the 10th grade at Niles High School. She is the daughter of Wiley and Tara Horvath.
Alyssa Marker of Dayton Road, 15, is in the 10th grade at Buchanan High School. She is the daughter of Robert and Shelley Marker.
Lauren E. Leonard of Country Club Road, 13, is in seventh grade at Brandywine Middle School. She is the daughter of Shane and Laura Leonard and Ronda and Robert Martin.
Julia Henry of Dewey Street, 15, is in the 10th grade at Buchanan High School. She is the daughter of Ginger and Lynn Henry.
