Keith Allen Gorham, 78, of Niles, Michigan died at 6:36 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at his home.
He was born on September 2, 1936 in Greencastle, Indiana to Thomas and Hazel (Hill) Gorham. He attended schools in Greencastle, and came to South Bend, Indiana as a young man, living in South Bend and Niles the rest of his life. He worked in construction for many years, and more recently has been a timber buyer.
Keith was a member of the Greater Niles Apostolic Tabernacle. He enjoyed hunting throughout this region, antiquing, and remodeling his house. He was a great fan of the University of Notre Dame football team, and is well remembered for being ready to help anyone, and leaving no one homeless.
In 1990 he married Ethel (Clark) Goble, who preceded him in death on October 26, 2006. He was also preceded in death by many brothers and sisters, including his twin, Kenny Gorham.
Surviving family includes his children, Darrell Keith Gorham of South Bend and Georgia Marie (Michael) Wilson of South Carolina; grandchildren Ashley Gorham, and First Lieutenant Michael (Lorrainne) Ragsdale, U.S. Air Force; great-grandchildren Jeremy, Lauren, and James; and Keith’s brother, Herman (Carolyn) Gorham of Kokomo, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Keith Gorham will be at noon on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with Pastor Wes Arnold of the Greater Niles Apostolic Church officiating. Committal will follow at Mission Hills. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
