BENTON HARBOR — The Edwardsburg golf team finished fifth at the Division 2 District Tournament to grab a qualifying spot for next week’s regional Wednesday.

The Eddies shot 354 to advance to the regional at Binder Park Golf Club in Battle Creek.

Otsego won the district championship after shooting 343 as a team. St. Joseph was second at 345 and Mattawan third at 347. Gull Lake finished fourth with a 350. Lakeshore grabbed the sixth and final spot with a 362.

The Lancers’ Logan Steffes earned medalist honors by shooting a 78, which was one shot better than Edwardsburg’s Carter Goodson’s 79.

Niles, which shot 413 as a team, was led by Riley Delinski’s 94.
