Duane G. Noble, 81, of Niles, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Riveridge Manor in Niles.
In accordance with Duane’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Clark Chapel & Cremation Services is serving the family. The family is planning a private service at a later date. Duane was born Aug. 27, 1932, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Carl and Delaphine (Postawait) Noble. He married Betty Jean Anderson on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 1953, in Kalamazoo. Duane had quite the green thumb, was very fond of gardening and loved to tinker with things in his garage. He loved his family and home and in his younger days enjoyed being on the farm taking care of the animals, doing farm work and chores. Duane enjoyed playing a tune or two on the piano and spent hours playing cards with family, friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Duane is survived by his four children, Vicki Horton of Lexington, Tennessee, Larry (Susan) Noble of Cassopolis, George Noble of Cassopolis and Brian (Jody) Noble of Niles. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Crystal May of Kalamazoo and Jerry Noble of Hartford. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Jean, a daughter Julie Noble and half-brothers Jim Northup and Carlyn Noble.
