Our Father’s Family Keeper Ministries (OFFKM) has paid employment and volunteer opportunities available for people who love children and want to strengthen our community.
The Summer Enrichment Program serves youth from kindergarten through grade 12 in the rural community of Cassopolis.
The program runs daily, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from June 15 through July 31, in Cassopolis. Students receive age-appropriate academic assistance to maintain or build skills for four hours in the mornings, and then participate in enrichment activities for four hours in the afternoons.
Many of our students come from disadvantaged situations or are struggling with academic work during the school year. This program offers structured, relevant academic, social, and recreational experiences to all who join us.
The program is provided free of charge to participants. Our staff and volunteers must be devoted to working with a diverse population and have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of young people and in the community.
Our Father’s Family Keepers is now hiring highly-qualified (or equivalent) teachers for the academic portion of the program. The positions are for four hours daily in the morning (8 to 2 p.m.) and are paid at $25 per hour. Teachers must have Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees and experience is preferred. Curriculum and materials are provided.
Administrative Assistants are also needed. This 40-hour-per-week position is paid at $8-$12 per hour, and Assistants will help with administrative duties for the program. Candidates need strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
Youth Development Workers assist teachers, enrichment leaders, and other staff members as directed. These students will be paid between $8.15 and $9 per hour for a negotiable number of scheduled hours per week. Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Volunteers are also needed to support this program in a variety of ways. The hours are flexible and negotiable. Volunteers will assist program leaders in their assigned areas. It’s a great way to provide community service and to truly help those in need.
