Niles nips Buchanan 50-48 in overtime

Visiting Niles needed overtime to defeat Buchanan 50-48 in non-league girls basketball action Tuesday night.
The Vikings trailed 29-23 heading into the final quarter, but outscored the Bucks (17-3) 19-13 to tie the score at 42-42 and send the game into overtime.
Niles (12-7) scored eight points in the extra session, while Buchanan scored six.
Elyse Zimmerman led Niles and all scorers with 19 points, while Emily Gaines added 10 for the Vikings.
Brooke Wesner and Jade Mosier both finished with 12 points for the Bucks, who also got 11 points from Chelsey Bennett.
