Dowagiac library offers public events

The Dowagiac library is hosting a number of events to beat the summer boredom through the month of July.

 

Banned Books at COA!

Tuesday, July 22, at 10:30 a.m.

Join library staff at the Council on Aging’s Front Street Crossing location for an hour-long presentation on the most controversial books in literary history.

 

Star Lab

Saturday, July 26, from 12-4 p.m.

The library will be visited by the Curious Kids’ Museum during Summer in the City and they will be bringing a laboratory full of cool science stuff to show visitors. New shows begin every half-hour.

Summer Book Sale

July 24-26 and July 28

The Ladies’ Library Association of Dowagiac is hosting their Summer Book Sale during Dowagiac’s Summer In The City celebration. Stop by the library for some good deals on used books.

 

Movie Tuesdays

Tuesdays at 1 p.m.

Starting to go a bit stir-crazy with the kids out of school? The library will  have a new family-friendly movie and snacks for vistors every Tuesday beginning on July 1 with “The Lego Movie.”

Fridays at 11 a.m.
