Host Edwardsburg pounded out 20 hits and scored 23 runs in a battle of Division 2 district favorites Wednesday.

The Eddies (16-5) swept the Vikings, who will host the district May 31, 9-3 and 14-2. The second game lasted just five innings.

In the first game, Paige Freshour doubled and homered, while McKenzie Creed also had a home run.

Olivia Jordan had a double for Niles.

In the nightcap, Layne Stinnett had a home run, while Creed added a pair of doubles to her stat line. Teryn Williams and Kaylee Ryker also doubled.

Niles (18-6) got a double from Tala Gentry and a triple from Kylee Myer.
