Bucks grab first win in tennis action

NILES - Buchanan's varsity tennis team earned its first win of the season Tuesday afternoon against visiting Eau Claire, 8-0.
Nicole Moyer took a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 against Bev Whaly.
At No. 2 singles, Kayla Nelson took a 6-0, 6-1 win against Ashlee Jones.
Megan Vylonis grabbed a 6-0, 6-3 win over Angela Krohne at no. 3 singles and at No. 4 singles Sam Haner took a 6-1, 6-0 win over Christine Lawson.
In doubles, Katrina Weldy and Robyn Bahr took a 6-1, 6-0 win over Courtney Motry and Lahen Howe at no. 1 doubles.
At No. 2 doubles, Holly Lucas and Courtney Miller grabbed a 6-1, 6-1 win over Jamie Schlipp and Cate Reed.
Brianne Weldy and Mary Martin took a 6-0, 6-0 win against Patricia Tortora and Rachel Shifle and Jessica Welsh and Joey Dreitzler grabbed a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 doubles against Kim Mason and Chrissie Whaly.
The Bucks travel to Coloma today with the match beginning at 4 p.m.
