The Lakeland Health Foundation, Niles, welcomed three new members to its board of directors.

• Lorrie Vallance is the Branch Manager of the two United Federal Credit Union offices in Niles. She joined UFCU in 2001 after earning a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Ferris State University. A native of southwest Michigan, Vallance spends much of her time in the great outdoors with her four horses. Passionate about improving the lives of others, she serves as Treasurer for the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department – Mounted Division. She is also a board member for the Downtown Development Association of Buchanan, the Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce, Crime Stoppers, and the Niles/Buchanan YMCA Board, and is active in the Executive Professional Women’s Association.

• Tyanna Weller is President and CEO of the Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce in Niles. She has served in the position since June 2013. Prior to that, Weller was the Executive Director of St. Joseph Today. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in human growth and development from Marquette University in Milwaukee. Weller also serves on the Niles Downtown Development Authority/Main Street Board, the Southwest Michigan Economic Growth Alliance Board, and the Berrien County Department of Human Services Board.

• Randy Hendrixson is the Executive Director of the Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce and owner/operator of DPM Events, a company he founded in 1996. Hendrixson, a native of Paw Paw, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University. He relocated to Buchanan in 2008 and stays busy as father of two children: Ella, 4, and Brett, 9.

The Lakeland Health Foundations are nonprofit organizations with a shared mission to support Lakeland HealthCare by raising philanthropic funding for needs not otherwise provided by the operating budget. The Foundations are governed by volunteer boards of citizens from across Lakeland’s regional service area. Since their inception, the Foundations have received over $35 million to further the goals of Lakeland HealthCare, helping to acquire state-of-the-art medical equipment, facilities, and services.
