BUCHANAN - On Wednesday afternoon the Friends of the McCoy Creek Trail received a donation of $3,000 from Chemical Bank in Buchanan.
On hand for the presentation was Chemical Bank Community President Len Amat.
The friends of the trail are an entity of the city of Buchanan and its parks and recreation board.
The group is taking each phase of the project step by step, as the work depends on donations to get things done.
The Friends of the McCoy Creek Trail are always looking for donations as well as volunteers for their group.
Anyone interested in either donation time or money, can contact the City of Buchanan.
The group also has memberships available for individuals and families.
The Friends of the McCoy Creek Trail will have a booth set up this weekend at Buchanan Fest.
