The Buchanan girls basketball team dropped to 5-4 on the year following a 51-43 loss to LaVille (Ind.) Wednesday night.

LaVille jumped out to a 23-11 first quarter lead, but the Bucks worked their way back into the game by pouring in 19 second quarter points to cut the lead to 31-30 at halftime.

LaVille outscored Buchanan 20-13 in the second half to pick up the victory.

Brooke Wesner had 16 points to lead Buchanan, Jade Mosier and Chelsey Bennett both scored five points.

Hannah Herbster had a game-high 26 points for LaVille.
