Edward James Stasiak, 77, former residence of 411 W. Division, Dowagiac, passed away at The Timbers of Cass County in Dowagiac on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2013.
Edward was born in Dowagiac on June 29, 1936, to Adam and Helen (Ptasziewicz) Stasiak.
He worked at Bendix in South Bend, Ind., as a quality controller.
Edward enjoyed going to Caruso’s (for his coffee club), being an avid University of Michigan fan, watching movies, telling stories to all who would listen and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He is survived by: his son, David (Carol Norman) Stasiak of Watervliet; two grandchildren, Cody and Tyler Stasiak, of Watervliet; his brother, James (Rose) Stasiak, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and sister-in-law, Billie Jean Stasiak of Sister Lakes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Helen Stasiak, and his three brothers, Bill, Robert and Thomas.
Edward’s visitation will be Thursday from 4 until 7 p.m., when there will be a prayer service at Yazel-Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac.
He will be entrusted to Cremation Service of Southwest Michigan.
