CASSOPOLIS — Mary Helen Hodges, 84, formerly of Vandalia,, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at the home of her son in Kenosha,

She was born Dec. 12, 1926, in Three Rivers, to Gideon and Lula Marie (Robinson) Yoder.
She married Elmer L. Hodges on April 16, 1948, in Vandalia.
He preceded her in death on Sunday, Sept. 18, 1977.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lily Kirkwood and Beatrice Hodges, who died Aug. 31, 2011.
Helen was a homemaker and worked in quality control for PerPak.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Denise Hodges of Kenosha, Kenneth and Chris Hodges of Norway, Mich.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Marie Hunsberger of Decatur, Florence Weatherly of Georgia, Catherine Smith of Melbourne, Fla., And Ruth Spangler of Niles; and three brothers, Leonard Yoder of Albuquerque, N.M., Raymond Yoder of Wisconsin and David Yoder of Dowagiac.
Family and friends gathered Sunday, Oct. 2, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 N. Broadway, Cassopolis, and again on Monday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
The Rev. Martha Cooper will officiate.
Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Penn.
