NILES - On Monday evening, the Niles Community Schools Board of Education plan to set the first day of school, which is Monday, Aug. 29, the immunization deadline for students.
Students must have completed, or be in the process of completing, all their needed immunizations required by law before the deadline.
Also at Monday's meeting the administration is recommending to the board that the district continue its participation in the "Schools of Choice" plan.
To go along with the participation of the "Schools of Choice" program, the board will be asked to set the tuition for students.
Finally as part of the district's long range plan, the replacement of a delivery vehicle is also expected to be decided by the board.
