Greens, Reds split in Babe Ruth action

NILES - The Niles Greens and Reds split a pair of games Thursday evening at Thomas Stadium in the Babe Ruth Seniors League.
The Reds took a 19-5 win in five innings over the Greens and the Greens took a 9-3 win over the Reds.
Kory Bridges and Jeff Cooper both took wins on the mound and Justin Ely and Davey Moran suffered the losses.
The Reds were led offensively by Josh Atwood who has a two run home run, a triple and a single, Chris Carpenter had a double and two singles and Zach Bennett had a double and a single.
Top hitters for the Greens were Jesse Sallak with two doubles, Rich Borling with a double and a single, Johny Watson and Kyle Kidwell both with two singles and Aaron Koziel with a double.
