The Dowagiac JV football team defeated Coloma 41-6 at Chris Taylor-Alumni Field Thursday.

“Our offensive line had a great game,” Dowagiac coach Matt Alward said. “They opened up some big holes and our running backs found them. After the first drive our defense did not give up a point and caused two turnovers.”

Recovering the fumbles for the Chieftains were Jon Lindemuler and Taylor Friske.

Jason Pressley had a pair of touchdowns for Dowagiac, which also got scores from Anthony Burling, Brandon Hatch and Rolando Lucio.

Bryce Dodd threw for a pair of touchdowns.
