The Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a new event called “Coffee and Cards: Morning Business Networking.” It will take place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Sept. 18 in the lower level of the Chamber building on 321 E. Main St. in Niles.

Because this is a new event, attendance will be limited to those who are Chamber members and invited guests of Chamber members. It will be restricted to 30 attendees, with only one person allowed to represent each business or organization. The event will have a $5 charge for admission.

According to the Chamber, this is a great opportunity for those who want to develop the skills necessary to pitch their business or discuss what they do. Each representative will be given one minute to present to the group.

“The whole idea is to help people build confidence in presenting what they do,” said Kelly Rock, who works as administration for the Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce.

Rock said that eventually, they would like to expand to allow other business in the area to host the event.

“To offer the morning networking, it’s a really big step forward for us and we’re really excited about it,” Rock said.
